An NFT, or Non-fungible Token, is a cryptographic token that represents something unique. It can be anything, from a piece of art, to a video, to a journal.

Your digital collectible will have a link to the terms and conditions, which will show you exactly what rights you have to trade, copy, transfer, display or use the media files that compose your digital collectible.

A collection is a release of multiple NFTs or experiences from a remarkable person, like Garry Kasparov. Within each collection, there will be multiple drops lasting 24 hours. Each drop will consist of a finite amount of NFTs and in-person experiences.

Your NFTs will be connected to your address in your Metamask digital wallet, which you can view on our website on your individual NFT pages. You can also view it on the blockchain.

Currently, Metamask is the only wallet that we support.

Although you can’t resell your NFTs on 1Kind, you can resell them on any Ethereum compatible secondary marketplace.

A gas price refers to the amount of Etherium (ETH), denominated in gwei, that must be paid to miners for processing transactions on the network. One gwei is equal to 0.000000001 ETH. Think of it as a transaction fee on the ETH blockchain.

There are two transactions that will cost you gas. The first is when converting your ETH to wETH to allow for bidding on the 1Kind platform. The second is when approving the asset you want to bid on – this happens once per drop. Keep in mind that bids won’t cost gas and the final transfer from 1Kind to the auction winner is taken care of by 1Kind.

To redeem your NFT for events, you will need to visit the webpage of the NFT you own on the 1Kind website and click the Unlock/Redeem button. This button will only be visible to the owner of the NFT. Make sure your Metamask wallet is signed in.

Once you’ve purchased your ETH through a digital currency exchange, you can simply send it to your public address shown on your Metamask wallet. Please reference the series of letters and numbers under the account name.

Once an auction is finished, 1Kind will confirm the final highest bidder. This finalisation process could take up to 10 minutes. Once confirmed, the buyer will be notified by email. 1Kind will then approve the bid, which will then initiate a transfer of the NFT to the buyer, and the funds to 1Kind’s digital wallet.
